PM Narendra Modi’s Meeting With Women’s World Cup-Winning Indian Cricket Team Highlights: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday hosted the 2025 Women’s World Cup-winning Indian cricket team at his residence at Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi. He interacted with the new world champions for around two hours. During the meeting, the PM congratulated the team on its victory and praised its remarkable comeback in the tournament after a string of three defeats and the trolling it had faced on social media. Notably, India’s performance was criticised heavily during the event after the team suffered three consecutive defeats. What followed was a terrific comeback from Harmanpreet Kaur and Co. as they eventually clinched India’s maiden World Cup title. The PM also asked the players to take forward the message of Fit India, especially for girls across the country.
